I propose we start trying to convince the police they are part of the 99%. If we really want a total revolution eventually, we must show the police (working class people with families) that we are people just like them.
In the spirit of fluxus art (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fluxus) here are the instructions.
Go up to a 5 Police officers each day you are part of the occupation and introduce yourself.
Tell him/her your name, "thank you for protecting us, and sharing in this movement", where you are from or where you live in NYC
and one small interesting thing about yourself.
Explain why you have decided to be here, and how you hope we can work together to make the situation better.
Try to shake their hand.
say thank you, have a beautiful day. peace
variation: draw a police office a painting and give it to him/her
variation: sing a song with instruments for a group of police officers
