Every movement needs culture to gain strength, expand minds, and breakdown institutional barriers. The FLUXUS movement was born in NYC with the inspiration of bringing ART and PARTICIPATION together. It is designed to forge new realities, break down the box, and free art from money and institutions. This is the original Manifesto: Lets bring FLUXUS back to life at #occupywallst. We need to put smiles on our faces, and use art to protest and *demonstrate in the truest sense of the word. If you have some ideas for FLUXUS pieces we can do at #LibertyPlaza please post them in this thread!!

Hello! I stumbled across this post while doing research on the Fluxus movement of the '60's and '70's. My paper will primarily focus on the idea of protest inherent in Fluxus, as it rejected modern art, in addition to contemporary politics. I'm really interested to hear about some of your ideas concerning Fluxus and how you would like to incorporate Fluxus art into the movement. I'd really appreciate it if you could email me to further discuss this.
Thanks,
vysgiyi
